New Kicks on the Block

You know me, I live in trainers in London in the summer and I’m always up for discovering a new pair on the block with which to mix up my daily uniform. Enter Bally’s latest drop of retro sneakers which do exactly what they say on the tin. Unlike other luxury leather sneakers, Bally don’t go for all-out bling or metallic decadence, instead they’ve simply focused on really good quality, well-made trainers that pleasingly call to mind 1970s gym classes and roller rinks (minus the wheels of course). I love that they’ve also released stripy tube socks to go with too, a look I will most definitely going for next time I’m on a long haul flight.

I love the classic plimsoll style and pastel flashes on these and the old-school surf shop style  logo; just the thing for taking on summer getaways and wearing with denim shorts and short printed dresses. Incidentally this is exactly the kind of outfit I’ve been living in lately. I looked at my instagram recently and realised that while it’s full of summer looks and bikinis, there’s nothing on there currently of the kind of stuff I live in everyday. Stripy wide leg jeans, a white tee and a black leather biker jacket are pretty much it right now. As ever I like keeping things super simple and adding personality and a bit of individuality if you will with accessories like red shades or trainers that are just that bit for special than your usual. I really want to make an effort to actually post more day-to-day looks going forward as I’ve realised the thing I like seeing the most, is what peeps are wearing on a normal, chilled day. Nothing special but all the more inspiring for it I think.
